A wall in Walthamstow

Local residents painting a wall on the corner of Blackhorse Road and the High Street, Walthamstow, London E17, today. The project was organized by Katja Rosenberg (seen here painting her cat Tinki), and will continue tomorrow – passers by are encouraged to come and paint something themselves.

Artist Emma Scutt, who designed the mural

  1. Love street art…and even better when it’s the community doing the painting! Wonderful post!

  2. this is something the world could use a little more of 🙂

    • Thanks Alessandro – I couldn’t agree more. Pity some local councils still can’t see past the G word – graffiti – that there’s a world of difference between street art and great murals on the one hand, and tagging.

  3. As a former Street artist (retired) I love it you must be a very happy lady Katja
