Rudolf Abraham is the author of a dozen guidebooks and has contributed to many more, writing for Bradt, Cicerone, DK Eyewitness, Berlitz and National Geographic Traveller.
His books include Peaks of the Balkans, The Alpe Adria Trail, Walking in the Salzkammergut, Walks and Treks in Croatia, Montenegro – The Berlitz Pocket Guide, The Islands of Croatia (winner ‘best guidebook’ in the British Guild of Travel Writers Awards, 2014), The Mountains of Montenegro (winner ‘best guidebook’ in the Outdoor Writers and Photographers Guild Awards, 2008), Torres del Paine, St Oswald’s Way and St Cuthbert’s Way, National Geographic Traveler Croatia, and co-author of Istria. The Bradt Travel Guide, and has contributed to many more, including DK Eyewitness Slovenia and Unforgettable Journeys, the Bradt guide to the Via Dinarica and updating the last few editions of Croatia – the Bradt Travel Guide. He wrote the first English-language hiking guidebooks to Croatia and Montenegro, as well as to the Peaks of the Balkans and Alpe Adria long-distance trails, and is currently working on a guide to the new Juliana Trail in Slovenia.
